3

Strategy Guides

All charts come with a Strategy Guide containing the most in-depth analysis you’ll find on Spin preflop play.
BTN : The most profitable position in Spins
SB vs BTN open : A (very) tough situation
SB (Heads-up) : How to crush the BB
BB vs SB open (Heads-up) : Defending out of position — the real challenge of Heads-up
SB vs BTN limp : An awkward position
SB vs BB : The most uncomfortable spot
BB vs BTN open : How to defend against a strong range
BB vs SB open : A small raise… that can be costly
BB vs SB limp (Heads-up) : What strategy to punish the SB?
BB vs SB all-in (Heads-up) : Be careful against this strong range
SB vs BTN all-in : To call or not to call? That is the question…
BB vs BTN limp : How to punish this basic Button mistake
BB vs BTN all-in : Stay patient to reduce variance
BB vs SB limp : A situation to exploit
BB vs SB all-in : Stay patient to reduce variance (2)
BB vs limp + limp : Capitalizing on the weakness of BTN and SB
BB vs open + call : Squeeze or call? Grabbing dead money with the right hands
Most players don’t just want to be told what to do without explanation.

They want to understand the why behind every action.

Why play exploitatively against recreational players

A concrete example of why using GTO ranges against a recreational player is a strategic mistake.

Poker Spin Preflop Exploit Range

Exploitative Range 😈

vs

Poker Spin Preflop GTO Range

GTO Range 🤖

When playing against a recreational player (who makes many mistakes), you need to deviate from the GTO strategy to maximize your EV.

This is called Exploitative Play.

Deviation #1: Fewer bluffs when iso-raising

Why?
Because recreational players call way too often against an iso-raise (~60/70% of the time) compared to what they should do according to GTO theory. And they will also be sticky versus c-bets.

Bluffing is therefore suboptimal in this spot.

Deviation #2: More value, no need for balance 📈

Why?
Recreational players will call you with weak and dominated hands. And they will rarely re-raise you (limp shove). So the goal is simply to build the pot with your strong value hands (Q9s, KTo, etc.).

This is much more profitable.

Deviation #3: No deep ISO shove 🙅

Why?
Doing an ISO shove (all-in) from the SB with a big stack (17bb in this example) is a very high variance strategy.
This type of play leaves no room for postflop play, where you actually have a clear edge against a recreational player.

→ Against a recreational player, you should always prefer a low variance approach, playing as many postflop situations as possible, in position — where your opponent will make plenty of mistakes.

Every coach has their own method and their own philosophy.

It’s not always easy to find a reliable reference you can trust.

The Range Chart Creation Process

Creating exploitative charts isn’t based on "gut feeling". There are many parameters to consider in order to build accurate and effective charts.
If you’re not familiar with the difference between Exploitative charts and GTO charts, be sure to check out this chapter from our free Spin & Go course.
1

How do recreational players actually play?

We analyze hundreds of thousands of hands played against recreational players.

We compare their play to GTO in order to identify their most common mistakes.
Example: In Heads-up, from the Small Blind, a recreational player folds ~20% of the time → this fold frequency is way too high compared to GTO (GTO Small Blind folds much less in HU).
GTO vs Fish Frequency Poker
2

Building charts that exploit these mistakes

HRC Poker Chart
We input recreational player frequencies into the HRC solver to calculate the most EV+ responses (most profitable).

The goal is to know exactly what action to take in each situation to capitalize on recreational player mistakes.
But sometimes the solver suggests high variance or overly complex plays — because its only goal is to maximize EV.
3

Making the charts easy to memorize

We simplify the chart slightly to make range memorization easier (when two actions have similar EVs).
Example: If the solver says to open shove all Ax except A5, but A5 has a very similar EV as an open shove compared to a limp → we will choose to open shove all Ax for simplicity.
4

We prioritize simple strategies

We favor clear, easy-to-execute lines (when EVs are close).
Example: We avoid certain marginal out-of-position call/raise spots that are only EV+ if your postflop play is flawless — which is rarely the case in difficult spots.
5

Low Variance Strategy

We intentionally prioritize Low Variance strategies when two actions have similar EVs.

And there it is — your final preflop range chart 💫
Example: We will almost always prefer limping to open shoving if both actions have similar EVs — because recreational players will make many postflop mistakes that will make the limp far more EV+.
Final Preflop Spin Chart Poker Sciences
Too many players think they’re improving by passively watching hours of free YouTube videos.

They feel like they are learning — but in reality, their level is stagnating.

🔑 The preflop is the key to winning in Spin

Où se joue vraiment votre edge ?

La majeure partie des gains proviennent du préflop

C’est là que les adversaires font le plus d’erreurs, et c’est là que vous pouvez les exploiter le plus efficacement.
We created Poker Sciences Spin Charts to make complete mastery of preflop in Spin accessible in an all-in-one product

Important note: as we explained in our free Spins course (especially in chapters 5 and 6), the results in Spin may take time because of the variance. So note that over a playing period of only 7 days, it is possible to have a winning game and yet to stagnate or lose money.

BRAVO

I came across these preflop charts a bit by chance, after a big downswing that kind of forced me to rework my game. I have to say I had never heard of Poker Sciences before, so I was a bit skeptical.

I’m a regular €10 player on Betclic (Spin and Rush, formerly Twisters), and I had already compiled quite a few charts in an Excel file from different websites — some free and some paid (especially from Team Bas Poker). At first, I was planning to buy masterclass, but in the end, that probably would have cost me more.

So I bought Poker Sciences’ charts, and I have to say the product is insane. All the preflop charts in one place, explanations (which matched what I had simulated), and probably hours of work saved on my end. The reaction charts in the advanced sections are extremely valuable, and the interface is super clear and well-designed.

Only downside: charts vs regs could be useful, but honestly, there’s already a lot to work with. So, BRAVO. I’m excited to see if you release other products for Spin — and if you do, I’ll be there.

Very good tool

I bought it last week and have used it quite a bit since. The interface is very practical and smooth. The explanations are really well done and help you understand what you’re doing. I’ll see in the long term, but for now, I’m very satisfied!

FAQ

If you still have questions 👇🏻
Are the Poker Sciences Spin Charts enough to win in Spin?
That’s a great question, and the honest answer is: yes and no.

Yes,  because if you apply the preflop range charts from the Poker Sciences Spin Charts and play correctly postflop (no need to play like a poker god—just following solid postflop fundamentals will be enough), then you will be a winning player in the long run.

Keep in mind that the definition of “long run” varies from player to player, depending on volume. It takes several weeks to smooth out variance (not just a few days), and possibly even a few months if you play relatively little!

No, if you play poorly postflop. Applying the preflop charts won’t be enough if your postflop game is a disaster.

There’s also another crucial aspect to consider: Spin isn’t just about technical preflop and postflop decisions. To win in the long run, other elements are just as important, such as bankroll management, mental resilience against variance, and more.

The good news is that we cover these topics on our “” page. Feel free to check it out!

Here’s the complete list of blind levels:
